Serpentario Maravillas Tropicales en El Valle de Antón
Serpentarium in El Valle de Antón, a center dedicated to the conservation of reptiles and other species.
Descripción
This iconic site is known for its more than 25 years of dedication to the care and conservation of reptiles and other animals, which have gradually been taken in as part of their animal rescue and research program. The center is run by biologist Mario Urriola, a specialist in herpetology.
Over time, the “serpentarium,” as it’s commonly known, has become home to a wide variety of rescued animals from the area, including caimans, turtles, iguanas, titi monkeys, birds, and of course, a wide variety of snakes.
The average visit takes about 30 minutes, and no reservation is needed.
How to get there:
As soon as you enter El Valle de Antón, you’ll pass a small gas station. Right there, turn right—you’ll quickly see a sign marking the entrance to the serpentarium.
