Bird Watching - Mario Urriola

More than 300 species of birds live in El Valle. Book a tour with a specialized guide to see some of them. The sighting tour is from 6:30am to 3pm and costs $60 per person. The tour does not include food and transportation. Transportation can be arranged for an additional cost. You can do the tour in Spanish or English. Mario is originally from El Valle and is a naturalist at heart. He has dedicated his life to studying the flora and fauna of Panama, even working for several years at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. Today he is dedicated to being a tour guide and leading an environmental organization called “ConserVA“, which aspires to raise awareness about the need to protect the ecosystem in his native region. His enthusiasm and love for Panama‘s nature is contagious.
