This emblematic site is known for its more than 25 years dedicated to the care and conservation of reptiles and other species, which they have been welcoming little by little in the enclosure as part of their animal rescue and research program. The center is run by the biologist specialized in herpetology Mario Urriola.
Over time “the serpentarium”, as everyone knows it, has become home to a wide variety of animals rescued in the area including caimans, turtles, iguanas, titis monkeys, birds and of course a wide variety of snakes.
The visit takes an average of 30 minutes and you don’t need to book in advance.
How to get there? As soon as you enter El Valle de Antón you pass a small gas station. Right there you must turn right, where you will quickly see a sign indicating the entrance to the serpentarium
