Cerro La Cruz

La Cruz Hill is one of the most visited and photographed points in the province. Its viewpoint is a mandatory stop for all those who travel on the route that leads from the Anton Valley to Penonomé. From the top you have a beautiful panoramic view of the entire valley and the mountains that surround it (Gaital, Pajita, Caracoral and Cariguana). If the sky is clear, to the south you can see the Pacific Ocean and the giant fans of the Penonomé Wind Farm.

You can go by car and walk 2-10 minutes to the viewpoint (depending on where you park). You can visit any day at any time.

Tips & Suggestions:

• The hill is one of the best places to watch the sunset in El Valle. You can bring a blanket or towel and sit comfortably with your family to watch the sun go down. In winter (December-April) it is advisable to wear a coat as the wind starts to blow quite strong after 5pm.
